  7. Intellicon-Flex8 is an eight-port intelligent asynchronous communications
  8. adapter that allows multiple serial devices to be connected to an
  9. industry-standard ISA and EISA bus compatible computer. A unique feature of the
  10. Intellicon-Flex8 is its capability to provide multiple electrical interfaces on
  11. the same board through the use of SIMM technology. SIMM interfaces modules are
  12. available for RS-232, RS-422/485 and 20mA Current Loop. DB9 male connectors are
  13. supplied. The Intellicon-Flex8 has an onboard microprocessor and dual-ported
  14. RAM to off-load the task of managing communications from the main CPU. Custom
  15. software can be downloaded to the onboard RAM to support specialized protocols.
  16. Multiple boards may reside in a PC to accommodate large multi-user systems.
  17. Transparent print through for terminals is supported. The Intellicon-Flex8
  18. comes with board, software (for SCO XENIX 286, 386, and VP/ix, SCO UNIX System
  19. V/386, VENIX, Microport UNIX 286, TSX-32, PC-MOS/386, and DOS), cable assembly
